By bus:
(a direct shuttle service from Vienna Südbahnhof to the festival site)
As in previous years we are this year offering a direct bus shuttle to the festival. Departing from the Blaguss bus terminal at the Südbahnhof (Arsenalstrasse), Vienna, the service will drop you right at the Nova Rock bus station! No annoying traffic jams, no hunting for parking spaces, and no changes! Sling your tent, sleeping bag and supplies in the bus, and you’re off to the festival!
This service is also ideal for day-ticket holders! There will be bus services returning to Vienna after the performances each night!

Privately rented buses may follow the “Artist” signs up to the bus turning area/shuttle bus stop area. The maximum length of stay here is 10 minutes. If more time is needed then please take the shuttle bus to the train station. At the train station you will find enough space to park your bus. We ask that you contact Daniel Schlatter on: daniel.schlatter-online.de before 12th June 2009 to reserve a space.

By train:
This year you can also travel to Nova Rock comfortably and affordably by train. Shuttle buses will be ready to take you from Nickelsdorf train station to the festival and back (€3 each way). The bus times will be synchronised with the train timetables.

All ÖBB (Austrian Rail Service) travel information can be found by clicking here!

All train connections can be found at www.oebb.at.

Travelling with your own vehicle:
The site is located in the borough of Nickelsdorf in Burgenland, which you can get to by using the A4 East Highway. Follow the exit for Nickelsdorf (also the exit for the festival site), which lies just before the border to Nickelsdorf. In the case of heavy traffic you can also take the exit Mönchhof (this is a temporary measure for the festival), which is situated one exit prior to Nickelsdorf. Please pay attention to the road signs. Should there be queues leading to the exit from the highway, please leave the left lane free for traffic travelling to Hungary. We advise that you plan your journey carefully, and avoid travelling on Thursday 5pm-7pm or Friday 12pm-2pm. The site is approximately 60km from Vienna and is situated on the border to Hungary. For distances from other cities please see “Distances”. Arrival by car

Drop off and pick up points:
Information for all parents and friends either dropping off or picking up festival-goers: please do not to use the main entrance to the site. A short-stay car park has been provided for you at the “Festplatz” in Nickelsdorf town (just follow the signs “Bringen und Abholen”). Festival-goers can then simply hop on a shuttle bus to the festival site – and the same goes for the way back! PLEASE NOTE: Access to the site is not possible on the day of departure from the festival. Police will be monitoring this.

CAMPING
Camping is included in the ticket price. This is also the case for day-ticket holders. The camping system can be found at the end of the FAQs. This year (as last year) there will be a public barbecue area, which you can use to barbecue your own food. We will provide and oversee the maintenance of barbecues. PLEASE DON’T BRING YOUR OWN BARBECUES!!!
You will also be able to purchase fresh meat (chops, sausages etc.) to barbecue. A “Barbecue” stand will provide fresh produce from local butchers. The barbecue area will be open from 12pm to 10pm.
Camping is only allowed in the designated areas. Camping on, or the obstruction of, pathways and roads will incur a festival site ban. Do remember that roads, emergency exit pathways and emergency service roadways are there for you – please observe this.

The festival takes no responsibility for damage, injury or theft in the parking or camping areas!

Please take your tents with you after the festival and use them again – this helps the environment and saves you money! THERE IS A TOTAL BAN ON LARGE ITEMS OF WASTE! (sofas, couches, pieces of wood, etc… are not allowed to be brought onto the festival site in the first place!)

Please help protect the environment by keeping your campsite clean and tidy!
The festival takes no responsibility for damage, injury or theft in the camping area!
