Nova Rock special trains run non-stop between Vienna Meidling and Nickelsdorf. Even after the last concerts, it is possible to take the train back to Vienna.

We recommend using the special trains as regular trains have limited availability.

 

NOVA ROCK Ticket by ÖBB

With the ÖBB NOVA ROCK Ticket, you can travel from Vienna to Nickelsdorf and back for €25.  When combined with the Klimaticket or the Top-Jugendticket, the ÖBB NOVA ROCK Ticket costs €13. The ÖBB NOVA ROCK Ticket is valid on all regional trains and on the NOVA ROCK special trains for a single round trip within the validity period.

Note: Special trains do not pass through Vienna Hauptbahnhof! The Top-Jugendticket and the Klimaticket are only valid on special trains for an additional charge.

To Vienna Meidling, trains arrive from the federal states every hour and with a short travel time: for example, from Salzburg Hbf, you can reach Vienna in just 2 hours and 18 minutes, from Linz in 1 hour and 8 minutes, and from Graz in 2 hours and 30 minutes. From neighboring countries (Munich, Zurich, Prague, Budapest), Railjet trains depart to Vienna every two hours.

TRAIN TICKETS

Sparschiene

With the SparSchiene, you travel quickly and affordably. Starting from €9.90, you can travel from Graz or Linz to Vienna. Tickets can be booked online or via the ÖBB App up to six months in advance. Einfach-Raus-Ticket from €36 (for 2 persons)

A great alternative for groups (2-5 persons) traveling together. With the Einfach-Raus-Ticket, you can travel all day on regional and local transport (R-trains, CJX, REX trains, and S-Bahn). For the 3rd – 5th person, an additional charge of €4 applies. All information and conditions can be found here oebb.at/einfachraus.

ÖBB Vorteilscard

With the ÖBB Vorteilscard, you make the right choice for flexible travel throughout Austria. You can get up to 50% off every ÖBB standard ticket. Interrail

For those traveling from abroad, here’s a tip: With the Interrail Pass, you can travel directly and comfortably to the festival. Direct and fast connections from all over Europe make it easy for you to experience the festival. You can find all information about your train connection, as well as timetables and tickets, on oebb.at.

 

RAIL STATION SHUTTLE & TAXI:

There is a shuttle bus from the train station Nickelsdorf to the festival grounds. Tickets are available directly in the bus and cost 15-, ATTENTION: The payment is only possible in CASH. One ticket is valid for as many drives as you need. 

The shuttle schedules are synchronized with the train timetables, meaning if there are no more trains heading towards Vienna, then no shuttles will run to Nickelsdorf.

Taxis are also available on-site. Please make sure to take a designated Nova Rock Taxi (the taxi drivers wear a green vest, the taxis are numbered, and adorned with our logo). Only these taxis have standardized prices (€15) and are allowed to access the grounds.

VIENNA – NICKELSDORF

Departure is in Vienna (Erdberg bus terminal – U3 station Erdberg), it goes directly to the Nova Rock bus stop! No annoying traffic jams, no looking for a parking space and no transfers! Tents, sleeping bags and provisions in the trunk of the bus and off to the festival! Also ideal for day visitors – we drive back to Vienna at night after the concerts!

 

FROM BURGENLAND

VERKEHRSBETRIEBE BURGENLAND SHUTTLE

With the VBB shuttle to Nova Rock – easy and convenient across Burgenland to Nickelsdorf! Your event shuttle will take you to the festival site on all four festival days, then it’s just a few meters to the entrance.

With a combination of public transport feeder services (line B27 and line B01) and a fixed shuttle from the “Oberwart Hauptplatz” stop, they ensure carefree journeys to Nova Rock, as in previous years. From Oberwart, the shuttle runs through the districts of Oberpullendorf, Mattersburg, Eisenstadt and Neusiedl am See. The return journey takes place one hour after the end of each concert and runs all the way to Jennersdorf without changing to public transport.

FROM OTHER COUNTRIES

The buses of Flix Bus will bring you to Vienna from almost all major European cities. All further information (tickets, timetable etc.) can be found HERE.

• Freeway exit: Nickelsdorf
• Alternative freeway exit (for heavy traffic): Mönchhof
• Google Maps input: Nova Rock or Pannonia Fields II

The site is located in the municipality of Nickelsdorf in Burgenland and can be reached directly via the A4 eastern freeway. The highway exit Nickelsdorf is also the exit to the festival area and is located shortly before the border crossing Nickelsdorf.

In case of heavy traffic it is also possible to use the exit Mönchhof. Pay attention to the signs. Should a queue form at the exit from the freeway, please keep the left lane free for traffic to Hungary.

 

DROP OFF AND PICK UP:

NEW: A new cab rank for Uber and external cab companies (this does not apply to Nova Rock Taxis) has been set up just outside the grounds. ATTENTION: Fixed prices are only guaranteed for the marked NR cabs (fixed price: €15-,).

HERE you can find the map. In addition, you can use the “Kiss and Ride” area at the Nickelsdorf sports field as usual. From there, shuttle buses will take you straight to the festival (ticket price €15-, in cash). Access to the site is not possible on arrival or departure.

 

CAMPING AT THE PARKING LOT IS PROHIBITED:

Please understand that for your own safety camping at the parking lot is prohibited by the authorities and the ban will be controlled more intensively.

 

PARKING LOT OPENING HOURS:

Parking lot opening hours see “General – Opening Hours”. The entire area will be closed before the official entrance.

 

RESCUE & SUPPLY ROUTES:

In order to provide you with a functioning and safe festival, we rely on rescue and supply routes. If these are not accepted, they will be rigorously towed away. The same applies if you obstruct other road users with your car.

 

TRAFFIC JAMS & WAITING TIMES:

Due to the large number of festival visitors arriving and departing at the same time, there may be traffic jams and longer waiting times on the arrival days as well as on the departure day. We ask for your understanding!

 

TRAFFIC RULES:

Please follow the traffic rules especially in the area of parking. For damages, injuries and theft at the parking lot no liability is assumed!

The access route for caravans will also be changed this year from time to time. Therefore, please pay attention to the signs and notices on the freeway already before the exit Mönchhof!

Please note: Each caravan gets its own sticker: C1, C2, Silent & Clean, VIP Caravan. If you have a Caravan Ticket, you will receive a C1 sticker at the first festival departure and may only park in the Caravan 1 area.
