Igel vs. Shark
About Igel vs. Shark
Igel vs. Shark don’t like to talk. They’d rather just do it. So let’s skip all the unnecessary “organic blah-blah” and keep it short and sweet: The band was founded in 2009 by Lukas Reichhold (VOX, guitar), Julia Lorünser (VOX, bass), and Eva-Maria Ehlert (VOX, drums).
In 2010, Lukas Linschinger took over on drums. After a brief hiatus between 2012 and 2014, the Igels resumed their mission (to rock, of course) in 2015. Over the past 14 years, the trio has had the privilege of opening for bands like AC/DC, Airbourne, Skunk Anansie, Flogging Molly, The Subways, The Supersuckers, and more.
In September 2019, the moment finally arrived: their self-titled debut album was released on Pogo’s Empire (it only took 10 years, after all). They’re currently working on their second album—let’s just hope it doesn’t take another 10 years.
