Dear Nova Rockers!

After several media reported about vaccination as a requirement to access the Nova Rock Festival, we want to officially deny this on our part: At our festival there will be no compulsory vaccination as the exclusive access option!

The ticketing group CTS Eventim also corrected yesterday via Twitter: „It is wrong that CTS Eventim wants to tie participation in concerts and events to a vaccination against the coronavirus.“

Nevertheless, we hope that the necessary vaccination coverage can be achieved as quickly as possible. But that is not in our power. Unfortunately, the Austrian Ministry of Health in combination with the EU has done a pretty bad job here. This mismanagement of course very frustrating and is now throwing us back months – which actually wasn’t necessary. Other countries are currently proving how well it could work. At the end of the day, vaccination will probably the only way to stop this pandemic. That in turn would mean a decisive return to normality for all festivals and the concert business.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 # 𝗡𝗥𝟮𝟭?

From today’s perspective it is not possible to predict how developments will progress in the coming weeks. We have called for a decision from the political side by the end of February / beginning of March at the latest and of course we expect that this demand will also be met. Until then, let’s hope for the best together, let’s look after each other and stick to the measures to finally get rid of the virus soon.

And don’t forget: You can’t cancel Rock’n’Roll. 🤜🏼🦠💥🤘🏽
