Here you can find all the information you need to get to Nickelsdorf. 

Nova Rock Special Trains drive without stops between Vienna Meidling and Nickelsdorf. Even after the last concerts you can drive back to Vienna. We recommend taking the special trains, because the seating in the regular ones is very limited.

NOVA ROCK-TICKET

With the ÖBB NOVA ROCK- Ticket you can drive from Vienna to Nickelsdorf an back for  € 23,-. In combination with the "Klimaticket" or the "Top-Jugendticket" the ÖBB NOVA ROCK Ticket costs € 11.-. The NOVA ROCK-Ticket is valid in all regional trains and in the NOVA ROCK special trains for one trip back and forth during this time period: 06.06. - 11.06.2023. Special Train Schedule for Download

Attention: the special trains are not going via Vienna Main Station! The "Top-Jugendticket" and the "Klimaticket" are only valid with additional charge. From different parts of Austria you can get to Vienna Meidling in short periods of time: From Salzburg you are in Vienna after around 2hours and 18 minutes, from Linz in 1hour 8 minutes and from Graz in 2hours and 30 minutes. From Munich, Zürich, Prag and Budapest you can get to Vienna by the Railjets every two hours.

Trainstation-Shuttles and Taxis

From Nickelsdorf train station to the festival site you can take our shuttle buses quickly and easily. For only € 10,- you can use these shuttles for as many trips as you like between the festival area, Nickelsdorf town centre and the train station. The timetables are adapted to the train schedules, i.e. if there are no more trains going to Vienna, there will also be no shuttles to Nickelsdorf. Taxis are also available on site. Please make sure to take a marked Nova Rock Taxi (the taxi drivers wear a green waistcoat and the taxis is numbered and have our logo). Only these have uniform prices (€ 15,-) and are allowed to drive onto the site.

 

TRAIN TICKETS

Sparschiene

With this ticket you are not only traveling fast, but also cheap! Starting from  € 9,90 you can go from Graz or Linz to Vienna. Tickets can be booked up to 6 months in advance via the ÖBB App and limited! All information can be found under:  oebb.at/sparschiene

 

Einfach-Raus-Ticket starting from € 36,- (valid for 2 persons)

This ticket is an excellent alternative for people travelling in groups (2-5 people). This ticket is a network ticket valid in all Austria on certain trains such as S-Bahn, regional trains and REX trains. If your group consists of more than 2 people, a surcharge of € 4 each is charged for the 3rd, 4th and 5th person. For further information, please click here.

 

ÖBB Vorteilscard

The ÖBB Vorteilscard allows you to purchase up to 50% discounted train tickets for a period of one year. The Vorteilscard is valid for 12 months and offers even more benefits. Simply order your Vorteilscard comfortably at oebb.at/vorteilscard and download the new ÖBB App to your smartphone. This way, you will always have your Vorteilscard with you. Alternatively, you can simply order the Vorteilscard at your closest ÖBB Ticket Counter or the ÖBB Travel Agency. ARRIVAL FROM VIENNA

As in previous years, there is a direct bus shuttle from Vienna to the festival site. You can book the bus HERE!

Point of departure is Vienna (bus terminal Erdberg - U3 station Erdberg). The bus takes you straight to the bus stop at the Nova Rock festival site. No traffic jams - no changing busses – no worries about finding a parking space.

The bus provides a spacious trunk with enough space for your all your tents, sleeping bags and other belongings. The bus heads back to Vienna at night after the last performance. Therefore, it is an ideal option for one-day visitors as well.

ARRIVAL FROM BURGENLAND

SEEWINKEL SHUTTLES

The shuttle bus from Blaguss Reisen takes you from "Seewinkel" to Nova Rock and back. Spots are in Frauenkirchen, Gattendorf, Gols, Halbturn, Jois, Mönchhof, Neusiedl, Parndorf, Podersdorf, Weiden und Zurndorf. All info can be found HERE.

BURGENDLAND SHUTTLES

Organized from the "Verkehrsbetriebe Burgenland" there will be shuttle busses to Nova Rock as well. Along a destined route the bus will stop in different villages starting from Jennersdorf and will take you to the festival area and back.

ARRIVAL FROM GERMANY

Get in, open a beer, and let's go! The party buses bring you from various German cities (Berlin, Dortmund, Dresden, Frankfurt/Main, Hamburg, Hanover, Karlsruhe, Kassel, Koblenz, Cologne, Leipzig, Mannheim, Munich, Münster, Nuremberg, Passau, Regensburg, Stuttgart) directly to the Nova Rock festival site and back.

Departure is possible on two different days. Tours starting on Wednesday (June 7th) are available for booking HERE, Thursday (June 8th) HERE.

 

ARRIVAL FROM EUROPEAN COUNTRIES (Flixbus):

Flixbus takes you from different European cities to Vienna. Further info (tickets, schedule etc.) can be found HERE.

  • Highway exit: Nickelsdorf
  • Alternative exit (in case of congestion): Mönchhof
  • Google Maps: please search for Nova Rock or Pannonia Fields II

The festival area is located in Nickelsdorf in Burgenland and can be accessed through the eastbound highway A4. The highway exit Nickelsdorf is near the border to Hungary and is the direct access to the festival site.

During peak times we recommend you to take the highway exit Mönchhof. Pay attention to road signs. In case of congestion, please keep the left lane clear for the traffic to Hungary.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP

If you want to be brought or picked up by your parents or friends, it is best to use the special parking area at the sports field in Nickelsdorf. From there, shuttle buses will take you straight to the festival. While it is already difficult to get onto the site on arrival, on departure it is not possible!

CAMPING IS PROHIBITED AT THE PARKING AREA

For your own safety, please note that camping at the parking area is strictly prohibited by the authorities.

PARKING LOT - OPENING HOURS

For parking lot opening hours take a look at “General – opening hours”. It is not possible to access the area before the official opening time.

RESCUE AND SUPPLY ROUTES

In order to guarantee you a smooth and safe festival experience, we depend on the escape and supply routes. If you violate these rules or obstruct other vehicle, your car will be towed away.

TRAFFIC JAMS & WAITING TIME

Please bear in mind that the high number of festival visitors arriving on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and departing on Monday might result in traffic jams and long waiting times on these days.
We apologize for any inconvenience!

TRAFFIC RULES

Obey traffic rules and use common sense. The organizer/promoter is not liable for personal injury, damage or theft at the parking site.

Please be aware that the access road for caravans might be changed temporarily this year. Therefore please watch out for signs and announcements when you leave the highway!

PLEASE NOTE: 

Each caravan will get its own sticker: C1, C2, Silent & Clean, or VIP Caravan. If you have a caravan ticket, you will already receive a sticker on the first festival departure, which assigns the caravan to the respective caravan site (C1, C2,  Silent & Clean or VIP). Those who receive a C1 sticker may only park in the Caravan 1 space, and so on.
