Here you can find all the information regarding Cashless and your personal festival-account.
There is an option to take back all single-use plastic and metal drinks containers purchased in Austria that are marked with the standardized Austrian deposit symbol. Please note that only cans and plastic bottles that are in original condition will be recognized by the deposit machine. The can deposit will be refunded directly to your cashless chip.

Yes, you can re-use your existing account from previous years
Thanks to the account, you can view your transactions at any time and have a better overview of your spending at the festival. You can also check how much credit you have left on your chip at any time. Without an account, this is only possible when paying at the bars. Refunds after the festival are possible with just one click if you already have an account.
Creating your personal account is very easy and only takes a few minutes. To do this, go to www.novarock.at/cashless or to the Nova Rock app and enter your personal data. Then link your account to your festival pass or day ticket and top up your cashless credit conveniently from home. The barcode is on your ticket, regardless of whether you bought it online and printed it out, or bought it physically at an official advance booking office. After you have created your personal account and linked it to your ticket, you can easily top up cashless credit online. To do this, select the desired amount in your account that you would like to top up and a payment method. You can choose an amount between 50 and 500 euros, topping up a smaller amount is only possible on site. After the payment has been completed, the credit will automatically be stored in your account and is visible to you. As soon as you arrive at the festival entrance and your ticket has been scanned, you will receive your festival wristband with your cashless chip attached. Your personal account and your pre-loaded credit will automatically be transferred from your cashless chip to your festival wristband recognized and is available to you immediately.
ATTENTION: When paying with a debit or credit card, it is necessary under the legal AUTHENTICATION OBLIGATION to confirm the payment via the mobile phone app or browser portal of the payment provider.
Whenever you pay with your cashless chip at the festival, our staff can show you your current balance. You can also check your current balance at any time in your personal account at www.novarock.at/cashless or in the Nova Rock app and see all the transactions you have made. Or you can check your credit at the charging stations on the festival site. However, please note that there may be longer waiting times at the stations during the festival.
All payments are made via the cashless system. Exceptions are the waste contribution, the Early Caravan fee and the tickets for the Shuttle busses.
No cash or other payment methods (debit & credit cards, etc.) will be accepted throughout the festival (except for garbage deposit, early camping fee & shuttle busses). Payment is made exclusively with the cashless system.
Cashless credit is only topped up in € EURO. If you top up cashless credit online in a different currency in advance because you have a foreign bank account or a credit card in a different currency, or live in a country that uses a different currency, your bank/credit card exchange fee will apply. In this case, please inform yourself in advance at your bank/credit card company.
As soon as you arrive at the festival site, you should ideally have already completed the following 3 steps: 1) created your personal account, 2) linked your ticket to it, and 3) topped up your cashless credit online. All you need now is your festival wristband with your cashless chip. You will receive your wristband from our staff at the festival entrance (check-in/band tent) as soon as your valid ticket has been scanned. Your personal account and your previously loaded credit are automatically recognized by your chip and you can start right away.

If you have already topped up Cashless credit, this will remain linked to your Cashless account. As soon as your Cashless account is disconnected from your ticket, you can pass it on and the person can link it again. Only pass on your ticket after we have given you the go-ahead! You can simply retrieve the credit you have already topped up in your Cashless account once the refund has started.
It is not possible to create a personal account without a ticket. You need a valid day ticket or a valid festival pass.
As soon as you have created your personal account, link your day ticket, which you will redeem first.
Example: If you have a day ticket for Friday and a day ticket for Saturday, link Friday's ticket. At the entrance to the festival you will then receive your festival wristband with your cashless chip and the cashless credit (if available) that you have preloaded online is immediately available to you. If you then pick up your new festival wristband with a new cashless chip from the wristband station on Saturday, you can also link this to your personal account. That means your new festival wristband is then linked to your account in addition to your wristband from Friday. To link your new festival wristband, go to "Add to wallet" in your personal account and enter the chip tag (six-digit letter code that is on the underside of your cashless chip on the festival wristband) and your new wristband is already linked.
ATTENTION: The remaining credit from your first band is not automatically transferred to your new wristband (new wallet). In order to be able to pay with the new band, you have to top up cashless credit in your personal account or at the top-up stations on the festival grounds.
There can be a few different problems ff you are buying a ticket from another person. We cannot guarantee that the ticket is valid and it's possible that the ticket was already conencted to another personal account before. If this is the case you cannot create a cashless account for yourself. Please only buy tickets from our official ticketing-partners or the fanSALE from oeticket. If you still buy a ticket from another person that is already personalized, please make sure that the original ticket buyer deletes the connection by writing us an email to cashless@novamusic.at
If you are on the guest list, you will receive all the information you need to access and download your ticket via e-mail. As soon as you have received your guest list ticket, you can create your personal account at www.novarock.at/cashless and specify it of your ticket barcode with your ticket. Please be aware, that guestlist tickets are never transferable.
If you have not received any information via email, please contact our social media team via Facebook or Instagram.
ATTENTION: There is NO possibility to have your remaining balance paid out in CASH on site! Your remaining balance is paid out exclusively ONLINE at www.novarock.at/cashless or in the Nova Rock app. To do this, apply for the transfer back (Pay Out) of your remaining credit in your personal account. It is possible to apply for the return transfer from June 16th 2024, 12:00 PM until the 31th of July (11:59 AM) Please note that the return transfer can take up to 14 working days. There are no additional fees for the withdrawal and no minimum for unused balance to be paid out.
